What’s it all about?
As Head of Product Line, you are responsible for leading your product line with a clear strategic vision and strong team management. You set and execute the mid- and long-term strategy, oversee annual plans and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This senior leadership position requires you to connect strategy with execution, aligning customer needs, market developments, and organisational goals to deliver profitable growth. Your focus will be on strategy, outlook, project results, continuous improvement (reducing failure costs), and driving both customer and employee satisfaction.
What will you do as a Head of Product Line?
You will translate strategic goals into actionable plans, providing clear direction to your team of consultants and project managers. By fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, you will raise performance and efficiency.
You will monitor project and product line performance, proactively manage risks, and implement improvements to reduce failure costs and strengthen results. You will engage with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships and high satisfaction levels that lead to repeat business.
As a leader, you will coach and develop your team, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure succession planning, creating a motivated, capable, and future-ready workforce.

Which personality fits this position?
You are a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who turns vision into results. You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field and have a proven track record in senior management, ideally in engineering, energy, or related sectors.
You combine business acumen with strong analytical skills and have a drive for continuous improvement. You inspire and guide your team, build strong client relationships, and ensure that customer needs are met while maximising results for KCI.
What else is required for the job?
KCI Offshore Engineering considers it important for this position that you bring the following:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant market (e.g. offshore, energy, maritime)
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or business management role
• Strong understanding of product development and commercial strategy
• Experience working across disciplines such as R&D, sales, and marketing
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); Dutch is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Key competencies: adaptability, assertiveness, critical thinking, quality focus, problem analysis, and result orientation
