KCI provides full services to meet the requirements of each phase of a project lifecycle, from feasibility study and concept identification, developing into FEED and basic engineering i.e. selection and definition of alternative development scenarios, up to detailed engineering of processing facilities and operations.

1Feasibility


Purpose:
Identify and assess alternative solutions

 

Main activity: Define specific functional requirements and identify alternative concepts and processing technologies for the development. Supply high level comparative evaluations to assess the feasibility, acceptability and suitability of alternative solutions and support the decision to continue to the next phase. Prepare high level (screening) cost estimate and
economic return analysis.

2Concept study


Purpose:
Select optimum concept based on identified success criteria

 

Main activity: High level engineering of identified concepts. Define criteria for success and evaluate the performance of each concept based on multiple safety, technical, commercial, environmental, delivery, risk, constructability and operational critical success criteria to recommend the best concept for investment.

3Basic design / FEED


Purpose:
Basic engineering of processing and utility systems

 

Main activity: Perform multidisciplinary basic design of the selected option. Determine the project execution planning and strategy. Identify, design and place orders for long lead equipment in order to secure production targets.

4Detailed design


Purpose:
Detail engineering to develop ready for construction design data

 

 Main activity: Provide complete design data for procurement of all remaining items, fabrication and installation of equipment. Incorporate vendor information in design and ensure consistency and alignment in all design components.

5Operation


Purpose:
Commissioning, operation, maintenance, improvement of equipment/process facilities, decommissioning 

 

Main activity: Assets management, operations and management support. Provide life extension engineering services including troubleshooting, debottlenecking, expansion, fabrication and installation engineering support and as built documentation projects. Support clients in creating and upgrading engineering documents to as-built status.
