Project Iemants (Smulders) was awarded EPCI of steel substructure.
KCI was subcontracted by Iemants to execute the following Scope:
- Basic design primary steel
- Detailed design primary steel
- Detailed calculations secondary steel
- Detailed design bend restrictors for export cable pull-in
Project start: November 2016
Finish detailed design: May 2017
Furthermore KCI started with Engineering support during Construction at request of Client in May 2017. This scope is still ongoing with expected end date December 22, 2017.
The 600MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm in Danish Baltic Sea waters consists of two sections, each with its own substation: Kriegers Flak A with a total capacity of 200MW, and Kriegers Flak B with a total capacity of 400MW. The two substations will also serve as an interconnector between the Danish and German grids.
